- Water your roses: Roses need consistent moisture to thrive. Water deeply at the base of the plant, making sure not to get the leaves wet. Avoid overhead watering, as this can lead to fungal diseases.
- Mulch your roses: Apply a layer of organic mulch, such as lucerne, pea straw or sugar cane mulch, around the base of your roses. This will help retain moisture in the soil, suppress weeds, and regulate soil temperature. Our favourite is lucerne.
- Control pests and diseases: Keep an eye out for pests and diseases, such as aphids, black spot, and powdery mildew. Treat any problems promptly with organic or chemical controls.
